Deconstruction

George waves as we pull up in the drive. George is Consies brother, and a retired Master Plumber.

This is what you used to see as you pulled in from the road.

A view from the top. The land is certainly beautiful.

Another view from the top. Including a rusted out car that the previouse owners left.

These pictures were taken during the fall, absolutely my favorite season to be in Missourri.

Once the huge dish was out of the way, those trees take over the view and are breathtaking!

Another view, with nothing of note... except the tree.

There was a huge trash pile on the property that had been there for years.

George stands in the doorway surveying the project.

Looking out toward the neighboring property.

This view is very simular to what will be seen from the back of the wrap around porch.

The pond is fed by a spring, and I'm hoping that means good fishing!

The shed was probably the most structuraly sound building on the property!

No explination needed.

Ok guys, get to work!

First job is to remove all the shingles.

This is time consuming, back breaking work.

Bending over scraping for a couple of hours at a time.

Progress is slow, but steady.

As the shingles come off we can start to remove the actual roof structure.

It really goes pretty fast at this point.

And before you know it Voila! We have the floor for the store!

The rear roof that covers the garage willbe removed, as will the garage.

Since this isn't going to be a residence anymore we don't need that.

A great view of the guys handy work.

We covered it up since the logs wouldn't arrive for more than a month.

No need to ruin or warp that good surface.
